GAINESVILLE, FLORIDA - I started my artistic journey by drawing Peanuts cartoons for family. I was only eight but learned the early lesson that there was little money in pursuing a career in art.
Undaunted...well, barely daunted...I progressed to Disney cartoons and then non-animatic (live action!) people. Early influences included '70'S/80'S FILMATION cartoons and the work of Ernie Barnes.
Later (and still), I sought to convey the emotion and particular personhood that can be brought to life through portraiture.
